Our curriculum is designed to nurture the whole child cognitively and creatively. We believe that young children learn best through exploration, movement, imagination, and meaningful relationships. Our main goal is to make learning feel joyful and connected to each child’s unique experiences and identity development.
creative arts & expression A child’s emotional wellbeing is the foundation of learning. At Lilian Prep, we prioritize building strong relationships, empathy, and self-confidence. Children learn how to recognize and express their emotions, develop friendships, and practice problem-solving through guided play and supportive interactions with teachers. These skills help children build resilience and independence that will support them throughout their educational journey.
early mathematics & stem Children are natural scientists and problem solvers. Our program encourages curiosity through exploration, experimentation, and discovery. Through building activities, nature exploration, counting games, and hands-on projects, children develop early skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while learning to ask questions and think critically.
language & literacy Language development is nurtured through storytelling, conversation, songs, and books. Our classrooms provide rich language experiences that help children expand their vocabulary, strengthen communication skills, and develop a love for reading. Through shared reading, dramatic play, and meaningful conversations, children build the foundations for early literacy in an engaging and natural way.
inclusive & culturally responsive practice Every child's culture, identity, language, and family story is honored in our classrooms. We intentionally design lessons, materials, and experiences that reflect the diversity of our community so children feel seen and deeply connected to who they are. We also support bilingual learners by integrating multilingual books, songs, visuals, and communication strategies into daily practice. This commitment extends to our professional development ensuring our educators are trained to meet the needs of bilingual children, multicultural families, and diverse learners with care and confidence. music & movement Music and movement are joyful ways for children to connect with themselves and others. Children explore rhythm, singing, dancing, yoga, and simple instruments as part of their daily learning experiences. Through music and movement, children build coordination, balance, and body awareness while strengthening language development, memory, and emotional expression. Yoga and mindfulness activities also support self-regulation, focus, and a sense of calm. Songs and movement experiences from different cultures and languages help children appreciate diversity while fostering a strong sense of community.
social emotional learning At Lilian Prep, social-emotional development is woven into every moment of the day. We help children understand and manage their feelings, express themselves safely, and develop empathy and kindress toward others. Through gentle guidance, consistent routines, and intentional modeling, children learn how to build friendships, resolve conflicts, and develop confidence in who they are. Our classroorms are designed to be emotionally safe environments where every child feels seen, supported, and valued laying the foundation for strong mental well-being and resilience.
